Mary Watts, DDS
Dr. Mary E. Watts is a general practice dentist that has practiced dentistry since 1982. She began her career at Alcorn State University, Lorman, MS, where she graduated with honors, Suma Cum Laude.
After her matriculation at Alcorn concluded she was admitted to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. To obtain more experience and to add to her expertise, Dr. Watts successfully completed a Hospital Dentistry Residency at Hubbard Hospital, now Metro General Hospital in Nashville.
With this newly obtained knowledge, Dr. Watts went to work to apply what she had learned by practicing in public health facilities, associating with other dentist in their offices. The experiences in Hospital Dentistry which included treating healthy, handicapped, developmentally delayed, medically debilitated adults and children allowed her to perfect her ability to treat children in the office and in the operating room servings. Dr. Watts was also mentored by ACD's founder, Dr. Eric Wood, Sr.
While Dr. Watts is a general dentist her experiences at Lentz Public Health Dental Clinic and Robinson County Dental Clinic enhanced her desire to work exclusively with children. It is the philosophy of these dental facilities as is hers that children’s oral health as well as physical health is priority. Dr. Watts spent several years treating the needs of the young patients.
Whether it is the adult or the child patient she treats, Dr. Watts’ philosophy is to educate all ages about the importance of proper oral health early in life which determines the healthy status of your body throughout life.
Dr. Watts is married and has three adult children.
